WDW Trip Report - Day 2

Our Second day started early at MGM studio’s theme park for a Character meal with Jo Jo and Goliath from Jo Jo’s Circus. Also Leo and June where there from Little Eienstein’s. We arrived at the park a little earlier than our scheduled breakfast. We took the opportunity to get a few pictures of Little One with some of the characters that were nearby the restaurant.

The first one we saw was Chip-n-Dale. Little One wanted her mom to go. She went with her finally.

The next group we saw was Minnie Mouse and Goofy. We had a funny circumstance during this line wait. We were waiting in line behind this Mexican mom and her daughter. When they were next to get their photos - all of a sudden - there appeared to be around 13 Mexican members of their family coming over. Each one getting their photo taken and then there photo taken with another member of their family. It was taken so long that the managing cast member had to ask them to move along. We finally got our photo - our one photo.

Our Breakfast was at Hollywood and Vine. If you are going to do a character breakfast, this is a good one for the fact that the place was near empty. It was 10:00AM and I counted 5 other families in there having breakfast. That tuned into plenty of time for the characters to spend at the tables with the guest. They had a sing along with all the kids and maybe 5 kids were there to join in.

The character meal breakfast counted as a table meal on our meal plan. The dollar value came out to $63 dollars.

The First picture is of Goliath. I think he was mine and the wife’s favorite. His hair is awesome.

The second picture is of Leo giving my wife a kiss on the head. I think she secretly liked it.

The next one is Leo with Little One.

Up next is June - Little One looks so comfortable with June.

Of course the star of Jo Jo’s Circus - Jo Jo and Little One.

Here is a photo of the group sing and dance along - not crowded at all.

We saw a few things and Little One was ready to go. We did get to see the Indiana Jones show. It was really good. I suggest that you go see that one.

I did snap a shot of a clock - maybe it will not already be waymarked.

We returned to the lodge and went swimming. Little One returned to the slide where she had a blast. Even that was cut a little short by an incoming afternoon thunderstorm. That was okay. We used the opportunity to go upstairs and get ready for the evening.

Little One and I went down to the lobby to people watch while mom was getting ready.

The Elevator.

The Lobby.

We changed our dinner plans from the Whispering Canyon to Captain Jack’s at Downtown Disney.

We arrived late to our dinner reservation’s at Captain Jacks. Seems we didn’t have the bus thing down just right and had to do some bus jumping to get over to Downtown Disney.

It was a delicious meal. For the appetizer, I had the mixed green salad (or what I call the weeds), my wife had the spinach and artichoke dip while Little One had Clam Chowder. I ended up eating my salad and most of Little One’s chowder and some of mom’s dip. For the main course I order the 2 lobster tails, mom ordered the chicken pasta and Little One ordered the chicken sandwich. (She’s not happy it doesn’t look like Chick-fil-A’s chicken sandwich).

The lobster tails were excellent. For dessert I had the triple chocolate cake with ice cream, mom had the cheesecake and Little One had a smoothie.

Main Course:

The dessert:

The dollar value of this meal was $93. Thank you Disney for the meal plan!

After we ate, we headed over to Magic Kingdom for the nightime show fantasmic. I took several photo’s here most are very dark . It was a good show. It was a mad house trying to get out of the park with so many leaving at the same time. We made it to the dock where we took the boat back to the resort for a good nights Sleep.
